Tips For Buying On Carousell

I have posted up a video on tips to shop on Carousell. Basically Carousell is an app where you can buy and sell anything from cars to books.

You can watch it by clicking this image:

So here are the tips with more information:

1) Be prepared to take risk
Shopping online especially from individual sellers and not registered businesses is never risk free. So if you are not prepared to take a risk. Just don't buy.

2) Deciding on the seller:
- check reliability how many positive reviews versus negative reviews does the seller have. Are you comfortable shopping with this seller based on his or her reviews or number of followers he or she has?
- Read the info section some sellers only allow mailing and no meet ups.
- Some don't provide extra photos.

3) Ask the right questions:
If you want extra pictures be specific and ask for them.
Make sure you have your correct measurements. If you measured wrongly you have only yourself to blame.

4) Compatibility
Ensure that the items is compatible before purchasing. Particularly important if buying electronic goods.

5) Try not to ask leading questions
Leading questions are basically questions which give sellers information that they can use against you. Such as you ask: "Is this skirt 13 inches in width?" or "Is this shirt XS?" this dishonest seller may just claim it is and you receive the item and realise you have been cheated. So instead ask general questions like: "What is the width of the skirt?" and "What is the size of this shirt?" This is to avoid dishonest sellers who use the information you have given them against you.

6) If you want to lower price state it early don't waste time
Really annoys sellers when you ask a tonne of questions and ask for photos and than reject them because you cannot get it for the price you want. ASK the seller first if you want to lower price.

7) No money don't buy
Just don't waste people's time. If they sell for $10 and you can only pay $1 for it just don't buy.

8) Arranging for meet up:
- ask clearly where meet up is
To you may be MRT (a train station) to him it maybe his house downstairs
- make sure it's easy to find each other send each other descriptions of what you will be wearing.

When it comes to mailing
9) Request for proof when possible don't take for granted
Sometimes they may send you photos without attaching the stamp on the package so do check before accepting it.

10) Explore all mailing options check pricing before payment.
Don't pay and than realise that you have left out the postage fee. Always check before transferring the money.

Hope this is helpful!

Shop Korean Fashion On Zalora

I am rather excited about this post. It is about Korean Fashion! There is a pretty large variety of clothes, shoes, bags, accessories to choose from. Here are my picks from Zalora's website I picked out the most unique designs to get you excited haha. If you want to know where to go shop for all these the direct link is below below below.

You just have to go through my post before you can reach it. Hehe.
Starting with one of my favourite types of outer wear. Vest. Can throw it over any kind of casual outfit and make it more fashionable. How about this two tone vest!
From the details you can see the colours are super vibrant and pretty! You can pair this with those crop top, high waisted outfits and look more fashionable. Correction more Korean fashionable.
Apart from those street style fashions Zalora also stocks up on more glamorous items like this bejewelled totally blinged out heels. Paint the town red in these! And the colour combination is totally good for wearing to office with some simple shift dress. So you can totally wear this shoes from office to club. Up to you no need to change shoes in between.

Gorgeous right? Who knows they said shoes maketh the woman perhaps you might bling your way to a promotion or getting a wealthy husband. Haha if that happens you know who you should treat right? right?

Besides totally rocking shoes there is also those classy glamorous kind of style. With this asymmetrical skirt. You can show off some skin without looking like a slut. Legs are sexy on their own but pair with those partially revealing garments makes it look even sexier.
You can cross your legs and than uncross them. Make it like leg peek a boo now you see it now you don't haha. The blue colour also makes it not like trying too hard to be sexy. If people ask you can always say you chose the colour inspired by Kate Middleton. Up the class.
Another gorgeous shoe. This one has a satin kind of finish. Makes you look luxe and rich. Even if you are not haha. The colour also keeps things from looking too bland. You can be matchy matchy with a green dress or you can pair this with those bold floral dresses than you can look like a goddess in the garden. If you are not the bold colourful sort but want to slowly become this you can implement colour in a risk free way by getting the shoe. Safer and less risky than say dyeing your hair neon green.

I really like this next item so cute! Matching banana outfit. Other than declaring to the world your love for bananas you can totally rock it with either sneakers or flats or even platforms or wedges. Up to you lah. You can pair this with one of those yin and yang bags to let people know your love for balance besides bananas.

Speaking of yin and yang check out this choker. I mean a choker by itself is pretty awesome but this one is RAINBOW. How awesome is that? And it has yin and yang pendant also. Declare to people your love for rainbows (if you don't like rainbows am not talking to you) and balance.

Colors in pictures look totally bright and vibrant. You can wear this choker with just about anything really.

But you want something less bright and more subtle? Okay the next item not exactly subtle but for more formal and less street style. See Zalora has you covered either way whether you want more formal and less street style kind of jewellery.

This statement necklace.

What are waiting for?

p.s: Don't scold me if the items are already sold out at the time when I took these screenshots the items were still available. Time changes that pretty quickly. Gives you more of an excuse to stalk Zalora to make sure you don't miss out any thing. Lol.

My Canon 700D Haul + Review

I have just uploaded a new video on Youtube. Basically I purchased a Canon 700D from Carousell on 23 April. It was in great condition and cost about $590 but I had to purchase the SD card separately and also the USB cable. On the whole I was happy with the purchase and would recommend the seller its quickpigluckystar :)

If you have not you can watch the video by clicking the photo below:
Here is the list of purchased accessories and the prices:

Battery SGD$29 - Best Denki, Vivo City
Cleaning kit SGD$4.90 - Challenger, Vivo City
USB cable SGD$5.60 - Challenger, Vivo City
SD card SGD$10 - same carousell seller

I have used the camera for months and really liked it its really easy to use for non-professional photographers and you can switch between taking photos and taking videos with ease.

However for longer videos you have to be able to get a SD card that can record at a faster pace if not an error message that the video has automatically stopped recording will pop up. So far I have been using a Kingston SD card (not pictured or videoed) and it works fine.

I would recommend it for travel and capturing footage on low impact kind of activities. This camera can be rather heavy to carry around for crazy long travel activities like sky diving and rock climbing you are better off with a GoPro. I have gone hiking up a mountain with my old Canon 450D which is comparable size to 700D and trust me I felt the weight.

I like the grip on this 700D camera as I have rather large hands and I like the solid feel of this. I also like the flip screen which has been a Godsend since I can now look at myself when I video and take selfies. It also has a touch screen which makes things so much easier but if you don't like it you can always turn the function off.

If you are a non-professional photographer looking to upgrade from a compact camera to a DSLR I would recommend this camera. It is a good performance camera which takes HD videos and clear sharp photos with good image quality.

Price wise you can always get it from Canon or try second hand like I did :)

Have a great day!
